Over the last eight months, I have been fully immersed into the ever-changing world of real estate.
This semester alone, I dedicated over 200 hours as an intern for the Agent Services Department at Keller Williams Flagship. With this experience, I have witnessed such a significant transformation in my life. This role has not only enhanced my professional skills, but also introduced me to so much of what the real estate industry has to offer. Through this journey, I have found my passion in real estate and learned what it means to truly love what I do while continually educating myself to perform at my best.
Prior to being selected for this position, I always had an interest in real estate, however, it wasn鈥檛 until I began this internship that everything started to fall into place. With family members established in the industry and a personal affinity for entrepreneurship, I quickly found myself falling in love with real estate and wanting to explore more of the industry. KW Flagship offered a host of resources that equipped me to earn my real estate salesperson license on the first attempt in efforts to begin my journey. With that, I am eternally grateful for the support I continue to receive from everyone around the office as they provide an invaluable measure of wisdom to me as I grow in the industry.
From observing client interactions to onboarding new members and supporting agents in their day-to-day operations, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and rewards of real estate. Working alongside skilled mentors, I鈥檝e learned the importance of adaptability, resilience, and continuous learning in a highly competitive industry such as this. I know what it takes to be successful in this industry and I have been placed in an environment that prioritizes learning and fosters personal growth. Over the last eight weeks, I have also developed a deep appreciation for the relationships that drive the real estate industry, and I鈥檝e discovered the significance of trust and effective communication in this field.
This experience has also shown me the power of persistence and a strong work ethic. Balancing my internship, schoolwork, and preparation for the real estate licensing exam required discipline and determination, but the rewards have been worth every effort. Each milestone, from earning my license to successfully contributing to the department, has reinforced my belief in the importance of dedication and self-improvement. I鈥檝e learned that success in real estate isn鈥檛 just about knowledge鈥攊t鈥檚 about building trust, adapting to change, and maintaining a consistent drive to achieve your goals.
As I reflect on this journey, I am filled with gratitude for all the opportunities I鈥檝e had and the personal growth I鈥檝e achieved. This opportunity truly changed my life and has given me so much to be thankful for. In a few short months I have discovered a passion that motivates me to show up as my best everyday鈥攂oth personally and professionally. This experience has truly been transformative and as I continue my journey as both an intern and an agent, I look forward to all the lessons I will learn and carry with me as I develop a flourishing business.
